Ombak Biru Yacht Information:

Itineraries:
The Ombak Biru offers various itineraries to different destinations, each departing from a different island or port. It’s essential to know your chosen itinerary and embarkation/disembarkation locations. Regardless of your trip, we recommend arriving at least one day before the charter start date.

Boarding and Disembarkation:
The yacht aims to return to port on the evening before disembarkation. Final disembarkation typically occurs between 7:00 am and 9:00 am at the end of the charter. Please remember the suggested 24-hour no-fly rule when planning your departure.

Komodo National Park:
For trips to Komodo National Park, arrival involves a round-trip domestic flight from Bali to the Komodo Airport near Labuan Bajo on Flores Island. Boarding in Komodo usually takes place between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, with disembarkation between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.

Other Destinations:
For itineraries to Maumere, Banda, Ambon, and Raja Ampat, the embarkation ports may include Sorong, Maumere, or Ambon. Boarding and disembarkation times vary, typically before 4:00 pm for embarkation and before 10:00 am for disembarkation.

Fees and Taxes:
Each guest must pay park and port fees at the end of the charter. These fees are subject to a 10% VAT tax and can be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or cash in Indonesian Rupiah. Please ensure you have local currency for any additional expenses, such as overweight baggage charges.

Inclusions:
The Ombak Biru provides comfortable accommodations with air-conditioned staterooms, private facilities, and complimentary meals and beverages onboard. Linens are changed mid-week, and fresh towels are provided as needed. Diving equipment, including tanks, weights, and weight belts, is also included.

Communication:
In case of emergencies, contact numbers are provided for both the shore agent and cruise director. While Wi-Fi is not available onboard, a satellite phone is provided for emergency communication.

Passports and Documentation:
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your period of stay and has at least two blank pages. It’s your responsibility to have the necessary documentation for travel and re-entry. Remember to check passport and visa requirements for each country on your itinerary.

Health and Safety:
The yacht is equipped with first aid kits, oxygen, and an AED. Guests are advised to bring motion sickness medication if needed and undergo a complete physical before the trip. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the yacht or on the dive deck.

The Yacht:
The Ombak Biru is a finely crafted sailing yacht built for comfort, safety, and stability. It features air-conditioned staterooms, a dining area, and a sun deck. Electrical outlets onboard use the Euro plug standard.

Food and Beverages:
The onboard menu offers a variety of American and local cuisine, with special dietary requirements accommodated upon request. Complimentary beverages include fruit juices, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee, and limited alcoholic beverages.

Entertainment and Special Occasions:
Nightly entertainment includes diving, movies, games, and more. Crew members are happy to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, or honeymoons. Please notify the US office in advance if you’re celebrating a special occasion.

Diving Conditions and Supervision:
The diving conditions vary throughout the year, with good visibility and moderate water temperatures. The crew offers support and guidance, but certified divers are responsible for planning and conducting their dives within safety limits.

Conservation and Sustainability:
Guests are encouraged to contribute to sustainability initiatives by avoiding single-use plastics and conserving resources. Rental dive equipment and specialty courses are available onboard, with discounts for advance bookings.

Gratuities and Checkout:
Crew gratuities are not included in the charter and are voluntary. Final disembarkation typically occurs between 6:00 am and 10:00 am, with transportation provided to the airport. Guests can extend their stay with organized tours at additional charges.

Adventure Logs:
Weekly adventure logs are posted on the website and social media platforms, providing information on water conditions, visibility, and marine sightings.
